
Mark Addiego was the youngest person elected to the City Council in South San Francisco during his first term in 1980. He was elected again in 1985 and served two terms as Mayor during his first Council tenure.
After a break from city government, Mayor Addiego is back on City Council with his current four year term expiring in 2013. Mayor Addiego has a strong commitment to open and accessible local government proceedings.
Mayor Addiego is serving on: SSF School District and Oyster Point Advisory Liaison Committees, the BART, Bio Science and Finance/Budget/Audit/Investment Subcommittees, and represents the City locally and regionally on the Airport Community Roundtable and Land Use Committee, Airport/ANIP, San Mateo County Water Transit Advocates, Water Emergency Transportation Authority, Bay Conservation and Development Committee and as alternate to Peninsula Congestion Relief Alliance and the San Mateo County Operational Area Emergency Services Council.
