Aircraft Noise Insulation Program (ANIP)
Resources
About the Program
ANIP is a City-run construction project designed to reduce the amount of noise caused by aircraft that infiltrate the living spaces of homes designated within the program boundaries.
To accomplish this, several things are done, including:
- Existing single-pane windows are replaced with dual-paned, acoustically-rated windows
- Carved, paneled, and hollow-core doors are replaced with solid-core, acoustically-rated doors
- Insulating attics
- Repairing / replacing fireplace dampers
- Installing baffles on roof vents
