Division Responsibilities
Department Organization
The Parks and Recreation Department is organized by program area, with each program administered by a supervisor, coordinator, or specialist. In addition, there are a group of affiliated organizations that operate out of City facilities and park locations. These activities are co-sponsored by the Department, but are not staffed or supervised by City personnel.

Parks and Recreation Services

City-owned facilities used for these programs include:
  • Municipal Services Building
  • Terrabay Gymnasium and Recreation Building
  • Westborough Recreation Building and Pre-School
  • Siebecker Center
  • Orange Pool and Recreation Building
  • Magnolia Center
  • Community Learning Center

Administration Division
This division works closely with the Public Works Department to:

  • Maintain the City's parks and recreation infrastructure
  • Accomplish renovations and upgrades
  • Plan for acquisition of new property and new park improvements

Co-Sponsored Groups
In addition to the direct provision of services listed above, the Department facilitates 12 non-profit, co-sponsored groups that provide recreation and community services in City facilities. To find out more, view the Affiliated Groups.
