ANIP Eligibility
Eligible Location
To see if your home qualifies, consult the Project Area Map. You are eligible if you are the owner of a single-family home, duplex, apartment, or other residential building located in one of the nine areas of the map.

Construction Date
Your home, building, or any structural addition to it must have been built before October 1, 1983. If part of it was built before then and part after, the project will only insulate the portion that was built before October 1, 1983.

Noise Monitors
South San Francisco has nearly 7,500 dwellings to insulate within SFIA's official aircraft noise footprint. To map out this footprint, SFIA has placed noise monitors in strategic locations throughout the peninsula to determine the neighborhoods most impacted by the noise. The footprint is based on a 65 decimal (dB) Community Noise Equivalent Level (CNEL) rating system. A CNEL of 65 dB is set by the State of California as the maximum noise level "acceptable to a reasonable person residing in the vicinity of an airport." Hence, the 65 dB noise contour defines the airport's noise impact boundary.
